A popular song says; “if I could turn back the hands of time….”
My guess is you know the rest of the song😄😄 which is immaterial to the subject of this discuss😂😂
Anyway, Besides babies, I’m almost certain that we all have done some things we are not proud of in the past that when we look back we wish we hadn’t done.
Some of us however, are under the weight of the guilt and shame we feel for being involved in those acts of wrong doing.
Even when, you have realized your wrong and have asked God for forgiveness( if you haven’t asked God for forgiveness, you still can, God is faithful and Just to forgive you), you can’t just seem to shake off this awful feeling of guilt and shame..
Anytime you try to move on, your mind keeps racing backward to those times.
Almost like your past keeps accusing your present of all the wrongs you have done.
And you just can’t live free…
Dearly beloved, I want to encourage you today…that you have been completely forgiven!
When God the Most high has forgiven you, why won’t you forgive yourself?
The Devil is the accuser of God’s children, he will keep bringing up the past to rob us of the peace, joy and freedom that Christ Jesus has brought for us.
We should not pay attention to the Devil and other voices that bring us into condemnation, guilt and shame.
The word of God says in 🎯Romans 8:1-2 ; Now we know this: God has forgiven those people who are united with Christ Jesus. God will never say that they are guilty. If you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s Spirit has given you a new life. God’s Spirit now rules in your life and he has made you free. Sin and death no longer have authority over you.🎯
Romans 8:1-2 EASY
Also, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 NLT
What is past should remain in the past..Don’t let your past rob you of your present..
Launch fully into the new life that God has given you in Christ Jesus.
